Birder’s Paradise - Whether you're looking for a crested caracara, a bald eagle, a Florida Scrub Jay, or any bird in between, chances are that you'll be able to spot one along The Great Florida Birding Trail. The Commission hopes the Trail will attract more nature-loving tourists and their dollars to Florida. New Florida travels to two stops along The Great Florida Birding Trail -- Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge -- to find out what makes Florida "a birder's paradise."

Clam Farming - New Florida goes “Along the Road” to Cedar Key on Florida's Gulf Coast, west of Gainesville, where we find one of the most successful aquaculture retraining programs offered by the University of Florida: Clam Farming. This industry brings 20 million dollars a year in economic impact and New Florida follows the life of a clam from tiny seedling, to growing bags to harvest to the restaurant table. Along the way we meet a hatchery owner who explains the process, a clam farmer who harvests the clams, and a restaurant worker who raves about the local product.
